Ang tagal nang nasa drafts ko ang susunod na entry ko na about sa pagkawala ng Tatay ko. Di ko matapos-tapos dahil naiiyak na lang ako lagi. Namimiss ko na si Tatay. Pero natatakot ako. Duwag kasi ako, kahit pa sabihin na Tatay ko yun, natatakot ako isipin na magpapakita at magpaparamdam siya sa akin. Tatay's girl daw ako, pero sa aming pamilya, sa akin lang siya hindi nagpaparamdam. Alam na alam niya kasi na takot ako. Lumilipad nga lang na ipis, halos magkandaputol na litid ko kakasigaw sa takot, at si Tatay naman eh hindi magkanda ugaga para lang mapatay ang ipis. +eto nangingilid na naman ang luha ko+

OFW on Deathrow's Appeal for help...

Uhm, it's been a while since I last dropped by my blog. Been too very busy with tons of workloads.

I want to share this email I received. This guy named Don Lanuza, added me up on my Facebook account. He was pleading for help because he's one of the OFWs lined up for the DeathRow at the Middle East. I cut a part of his email because it is quite too long.

Im really so sorry for disturbance...

I would like to request from your kindness some Financial Assistance
which im having difficulty of soliciting from others...

I have been confined here in Dammam Central Jail since August year
2000 and my resources has all turned their backs on me even my Family,
closest and considered friends which has helped me for the past
years...

I decided to appeal to you to as a Brother to facilitate my needs and
at the same time to help me and my wife support and finance the
Welfare and Education of our Two Kids...

Im so ashame to approach and beg you but i do not have any choice at

Ako po ay si Rodelio 'Don2' Celestino Lanuza na nasa tamang edad at
kasalukuyang nakapiit sa Dammam Central Jail ng Bansang Saudia Arabia
simula pa po noong Agosto taong 2000...

Ako po ay nagkasala sa krimeng pagpatay sa isang Arabo at hinatulan po
ng parusang kamatayan noong Hunyo taong 2002...

Ako po ay umapila na ire-kunsiderasyon ang Hatol ngunit magpa-hanggang
ngayon ay wala pa pong resulta ang aking Apila sa Court of
Cassation...

May Anim na Taon pa po simula ngayon ang aking ilalabi bago ipataw ang
aking Hatol (ito po ang base sa edad ng Anak na dapat ay 18 taon
gulang siya at siya po ang huling desisyon)...

May naghintay po ng 17 taon dito ngunit di pinalad patawarin ng Anak
ng napatay niya at siya po ay napugutan na nuong nakaraang buwan...

Sa loob po ng 9 na taon na pinalagi ko dito sa kulungan ay madami na
po akong nilapitan ngunit hindi po pinapansin ang aking Kaso...

Napakahirap po ng aking kinalalagyan at nararamdaman at napaka-sakit
sa kalooban at wala pong oras na ako ay matahimik...

Pamilyado po ako at may 2 anak at patuloy po ang aking pamamalimos na
kahit kanino o sino para lamang po mabuhay, makakain at mapag-aral ko
po ang aking 2 anak...

Isa po akong OFW na tinaguriang Bagong Bayani ng ating Bansa na
masakit sa damdamin ang mahiwalay sa mga mahal sa buhay para mangibang
bayan, isang sakripisyong dapat gawin upang mabigyan ng magandang
kinabukasan ang aking pamilya ngunit sinawing palad...

Ang sector din po ng OFW ay lalong lumalaki dahil sa kakulangan ng
trabaho sa ating bansa at ang kapalit ng aming sakripisyo ay magandang
ekonomiya dulot ng patuloy na padala o remittances...

Eto po ay dagdag yaman sa ating Treasury at wala etong katapat na
gastusin sa bansa...

Sa kasalukuyan po ay lalong lumulobo ang bilang ng OFW at palagay ko
po ito ay patuloy na magaganap sa ating bansa, kayat dapat lamang na
palakasin ang ahensiya na umaasikaso sa aming sector, kagaya ko po na
patuloy na nikikibaka na makahingi ng pardon sa aking nagawang
ipagtanggol ang aking sarili...

Ako po ay umaapila at humihingi ng inyong tulong na bigyang pansin po
ang aking hinaing, ang aking Kaso, na mapalaya po ako na makapiling po
ang mga mahal sa buhay at ang tulong pang-edukasyon at pang-kalusugan
ng aking pamilya...

Ako po ay nagpapa-salamat din sa lahat ng may mabuting puso na
nakaka-unawa po akin at umaasa po sa inyo na bigyang atensyon ang
aking panawagan...

Sa karagdagan detalye ay maaari ko po kayong bigyang sa pamamagitan ng
Email po...

Pakiusap ko lamang sa ating pamahalaan na patuloy akong i-represent sa
pamahalaan ng KSA at wag magsawang makipag-ugnayan sa Pamilya ng
biktima upang magkaroon katuparang makalaya.

Pakiusap ko lang din po sa inyo na bigyang halaga ang buhay ng ating OFW...

Mga dagdag na tanong po:
- Paano po kami makaka-kuha ng benepisyo sa ating Gobyerno bilang isang OFW?

-Kailan po ba mahihinto ang pag-supply ng OFW sa ibang bansa?

-Bakit nga po ba may OFW?

Di po pang-habang-buhay ang aming pamamalagi sa ibang bayan bilang OFW
at marami po sa amin ang sinawing-palad gaya po ng Pagmamaltrato,
Pang-aabuso, Di Pagpapa-sahod, Kasama na po ang Pang-Gagahasa sa ating
mga DH na OFW. Pakikipag-sapalaran at itinataya ang buhay para lamang
sa Pamilya. Mahirap po ang mangibang-bayan. Sakripisyong dapat gawin
para mabigyan ng magandang kinabukasan ang mga mahal sa Buhay.

Just when you thought everything's not right...

This day has been very tough for me. I am at the lowest point of my life right now. I am getting confused as hours pass by. I cry every now and then, and it literally gives pain to my heart. I tend to suffer from self-pity.

As I was having all this emotional moments, my cellphone beeped. My friend, Lhenielou, sent a message that reads like this:

God measures the person with the burdens He puts on him.
So when you feel your load is heavier than the rest,
be happy for God sees you're stronger than the rest.





Intro pa lang ng song na to, umiiyak na ako. Wala naman tayong ibang pwedeng takbuhan eh, Siya lang naman. Isuko lang natin sa Kanya lahat, at Siya na ang bahala. We will all find rest in His hands. Open up our hearts, para makapasok Siya sa puso't isipan natin.

Worry Not Bug

For months I notice the painted rock that sat on Karen's coffee table. The rock was painted and its face had a smile that just made you smile when you looked at it. I examined the rock and painted on the bottom was "why worry". Curious I asked Karen where she got the rock.

She told me that during a very stressful time in her life, a friend that she worked with gave her the rock. Her friend told her that when she looked at this rock, she was to remember not to worry so much. Her friend called it her "worry not bug". There was a poem with the rock, she went and got it and as I read the poem I thought how true it was:

- 40% will never happen, for anxiety is the result of a tired mind,
- 30% concerns old decisions which cannot be altered,
- 12% centers in criticism, mostly untrue, made by people who feel inferior,
- 10% is related to my health which worsens while I worry,
and only
- 8% is "legitimate," showing that life does have real problems which may be met head-on when I have eliminated senseless worries.

Karen went on to explain that she used to worry about everything and everyone. She now uses the rock as a reminder not to worry about the things she cannot change. She also went on to tell me that when she finds herself worrying, she asks herself what percentage this worry is?. Most of the time she found what she was worrying about was the 40% - things that will never happen.
